Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

This position is 100% onsite.

Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting to determine root cause of Unit-Under-Test failures and test equipment errors.
Demonstrable knowledge of National Instruments TestStand, CVI and LabVIEW. Strong troubleshooting skills able to diagnose failure between unit under test and test equipment. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint. Strong communications including ability to accurately document activities in Microsoft OneNote.
The work environment revolves around many common core style test stations testing many different products supporting the F-35 Sensors program. This includes system level to line replaceable component (LRC) level testing. The primary product being supported is the manufacturing and test of the F-35 Electro Optical Targetting System (EOTS). Candidate needs to be able to act quickly on their feet and to efficiently use the resources provided (test code, drawings, schematics, etc.) to maintain the automated test equipment to support overall production needs.
Candidate will need to be present for morning production meetings (weekday 7:30am) and will support the test engineering production recurring support team.
Travel could include short term trips to the FRCSE depot in Jacksonville, FL to support test stations and Ocala FL to support production test.

Capable of working in a fast paced, demanding environment providing independent thinking, problem resolution and action with minimal direct oversight by senior management. Enough experience to understand and use best practices for TestStand automated test code. Familiarity with the Client test station and the STORM software (best practices and style guide understanding). Training for the Client station hardware and STORM software will not be provided but can be learned.
