Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 4 for a contract opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position is 100% onsite.

Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Works under minimal direction.
· Participate as a member of a high performing, collaborative team and be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills
o · Modifys applications in JAVA and C#.
o · Integrate commercial and Boeing developed software into Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux operating systems
o · Use Agile methodologies to support all aspects of product development and project management
o · Designing systems to meet current and future software and application requirements
o · Have the ability to work with multiple support teams to identify and resolve issues
o · Implement and test software/systems using a variety of technologies to include scripting to support automated testing
o · Attend design and review board meetings to help facilitate system maturity and lifecycle support
o · Some of the technologies we use include: C# development; SQL Server and database design; Java development; PostgreSQL server and database design; Swing; Gradle; BitBucket; Jira; Team Foundation Server; Java Server Pages; Tomcat; Maven.

· 5+ years of experience in software development using object oriented language.
o · 3+ years of experience in application Java development

o · 2+ years developing in an Agile team. Certifications a plus.
o · 2+ years in generating a design based on requirements.
o · Direct experience using the technologies stated above.

Accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
