Chipton Ross is seeking a Color Assistant for an opening for a contract position in Frisco, TX

The color assistant is responsible for the following: prepare all standards for color cards, update color boards for each season, color files distribution, order, purchase, search for garments that have been established as corporate standards, process all color standard orders, update and organize the color room, keep all color libraries organized and neat, file all corporate standards, and send out all standards that need to be dyed on cotton poplin, process lab dip comments for custom made colors, receive all custom dyed color standards. Furthermore, this position is responsible for the following: processing invoices for follow up with cash accounting, order supplies for all color areas, assist colorists in evaluating all lab dips and bulk, and work with vendors to ensure the color meets the standard set by the color manager. Moreover, the candidate will need to also perform the following tasks: participate in bi-weekly meetings with color manager and specific product team, terminate lab submissions, assists in communicating status of all lab dips, bulk status, and any issues pending with recommendations for action to be taken. The successful candidate will maintain the time and action calendar and all target approval dates.

Associates' Degree in Textile or course work in the Color Industry and has work experience in the garment or textile industry.
The position requires that the successful candidate has at least two years of experience in evaluating color utilizing light box and/or spectrophotometer instrument.
The successful candidate must have the following: excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to problem solve and exceptional organizational skills.

Work Schedule
1st Shift, 5/40 Schedule

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
