Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer III for a remote contract opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Developing and implementing a CI/CD pipeline (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) that supports Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
o Support agile development teams by developing and maintaining tools, build pipelines, scripts, and environments
o Setup, Migration, and maintenance of the DevSecOps infrastructure to include Gitlab, TFS, AWS
o Setting up enterprise infrastructure on AWS platforms like EC2, S3, Lambda, Load Balancing, etc.
o Setup maintenance of Kubernetes clusters (Docker and OpenShift)
o Support agile development teams by developing and maintaining tools, pipelines, scripts, and environments
o Developing microservice onboarding tools leveraging scripting languages for the creation and maintenance of build jobs and deployment services
o Converting existing AWS infrastructures to serverless architecture (Lambda)
o Using AWS cloud services to launch Windows machines
o Creating and maintaining security groups


REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in Agile development methodology including SCRUM framework
o Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, and processes
o Professional experience building out CI/CD pipelines
o Experience with AWS cloud service environment platforms (i.e. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
o Familiarity with Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker in a cloud Environment (AWS ECS/OpenShift)
o Experience writing Shell, Python, PowerShell, YAML, Ruby, or Perl scripts to automate deployments
o Experience with deployment automation of microservices
o Experience with SCM environments (i.e. Git, Gitlab, TFS)
o Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA or similar system for bug and issue tracking
o Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
o Knowledge of deploying relational database management systems in cloud environments (i.e. AWS RDS) such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL

DESIRED SKILLS:
o Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for Unity 3D applications
o Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for 3D model preparation and decimation tools (e.g. PiXYZ)
o Experience with MSBuild
o Experience writing scripts for setting up baseline, branching, merging, and automation processes across the environments (Dev, Test, Prod) using SCM tools like Gitlab and TFS
o Experience with automated build testing
o Experiencing maintaining and launching AWS Windows-based EC2 images
o Experience with triggering custom CI/CD builds from end-user production deployed systems
o Experience with Splunk or other similar DevSecOps integratable tools
o Experience converting traditional AWS services to event-driven AWS Lambda functions
o Experience maintaining cloud security functions such as users, groups, certificates
o Experience with Windows Configuration Designer (WCD) provisioning and automation
o Experience with UWP application deployment to windows platforms (i.e. HoloLens)

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree from in an accredited university in Computer Science or related technical discipline

A Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is desired
