Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer III for a hybrid opportunity in Fort Collins, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will work with our highly multi-disciplinary team to the develop our next generation Flow Cytometry instrumentation; Your focus will be around providing the developing the software controls for the hardware that makes our systems unique. In this role you will:

Collaborate with Embedded Software Engineering Lead to develop Embedded Software Engineer Specifications
Collaborate with Software Team to develop and co-own communication APIs
Design and Implement control systems combining electronics, optics, and fluidics
Work with scientists and engineers to solve complex problems

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3+ years with C/C++
Solid understanding of computer architecture and low-level design
Understanding of unit testing
Familiarity with designing and implementing State Machines
Experience with Event/Interrupt Driven Embedded Systems
Comfortable with Product Development Life Cycle and agile/SCRUM
Proven experience with API design (specifically RESTful APIs)
Proficient with Git
Ability to engage in clear written and verbal communication
Comfortable with giving and receiving mentorship
Exceptionally detail oriented

EDUCATION: BS/BA Degree, Engineering or Technical Field preferred

WORK HOURS: Full-time.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
