Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Canoga Park, CA.

-The systems analyst primarily will perform advanced concept thermodynamic design of thermal fluid propulsion systems that meet functional vehicle/mission requirements.
-During the development activities of these propulsion systems the systems analyst will primarily conduct performance analyses and evaluate the steady state and transient operation of these propulsion systems.
-Duties may include evaluation of ground test and flight data to determine engine health and conformance to performance requirements.
-Duties will include creating, maintaining and using math models of propulsion systems which characterize the thermodynamic, aerodynamic, fluid dynamic and mechanical operation of these systems.

-The candidate should have an educational background in heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics and have demonstrated skills in writing engineering analyses in various programming languages (FORTRAN, C++, Matlab/Simulink etc.).
-Good written and oral communication skills are required. Candidate must be self-motivated, maintain attention to detail, and have good interpersonal skills to work effectively in team environments.

Accredtied Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace or Chemical Engineering plus 5 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule flexibility to provide test support or flight support outside of normal office hours is required.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
