- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician for a contract opportunity in East Windsor, CT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Senior Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for the build and alignment of various complex mechanical and optical assemblies for scientific instrumentation. An individual will work along with other team members to complete the build of multiple assemblies and instruments on a daily basis.
Assemble all levels of subassemblies to meet quality and productivity standards.
Test and calibrate assemblies to meet quality standards.
Troubleshoot assemblies
Material Handling and Inventory verification
Prepare tested assemblies for customer
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years related experience
Mechanical assembly
Experience with various hand tools
Soldering
Familiar with use of glues and epoxies
Alignment of optical components
Good understanding of computers and software
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent. A two year associate degree in electronics or similar field preferred.
WORK HOURS: First/FT. Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
