Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance General for a contract opportunity in Mitchel Field, NY.
Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment.
Performs basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools.
May be required to troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor.
May interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
May perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.
Replace floor tiles, carpet tiles, ceiling tiles, sheetrock etc.
Spackling and painting.
Repair furniture, vertical blinds, locks, etc.
Replace light bulbs, (fluorescent, incandescent, etc.) and lenses
Perform general maintenance activities, clean up, table/chair set ups, sign making, assist other technicians, etc.
Perform hazmat material collection, logging and the preparation for disposal.
Moving and re-arranging of furniture and electronic equipment,
Perform preventive maintenance on select equipment (hydraulic shear, water filtration replacement, etc.).
Load and unload of material delivered or shipped via truck.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
2 - 4 years of experience with HVAC operation is Required.
1-2 years experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint is Required.
Credentials for HVAC is Required.
Accredited High School Diploma or GED
