Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Parts and Equipment Manager for a contract opportunity in Memphis, TN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
ROLLING STOCK AND TRANSLOADER FLEET MANAGEMENT (50%)
Direct the maintenance activities of tank trailer fleet and on-site maintenance vendor.
Manage spare parts inventory to support the needs of the equipment fleet of railcars, tanks trucks, ISOtank, and product transloaders.
Develop relationships with carriers and terminals that manage the fleets throughout North America
Competitively source parts to minimize the impact of ongoing fleet maintenance
Standardize Equipment packages offered to optimize inventory held
Expedite shipments to terminals, carriers, and customers as required
Design and source vendors to fabricate rolling stock used in the safe handling of product at terminals.
This includes transloaders, dilution skids, trailer overfill emergency shutoffs, and other devices that allow us to deliver product safely
Develop a preventive maintenance program and metrics to track success of fleet reliability.
Harmonize US & Canadian rolling stock.
TERMINAL NETWORK MANAGEMENT (25%)
Provide hands-on support to Arkema 3rd party terminals in the Oxygenes and Derivatives division's network including:
Transloader / trailer operational issues
Install and startup transloaders and dilution skids
Develop a PM program and metrics to track terminal reliability
Carrier training on the safe and proper use and troubleshooting of trailer equipment fleet
Train the terminals and customer sites on Arkema-owned equipment such as railcars, trucks, ISO tanks, and storage tanks as needed.
Guidance for part maintenance/replacement, equipment relocations/replacements, trailer and/or part design
AUDITING / PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP (15%)
Work with Supply Chain team to provide audits and qualifications of hydrogen peroxide handling process and related equipment at 3rd party terminal sites and to provide assistance within the EHS laws and regulations.
Requires familiarization and compliance with laws and regulations covering N. American Region (i.e. US/Canada/Mexico)
Provide safety inspection and training where required to terminal operations teams
May require weekend work depending on carrier/terminal team availability
Read company communications weekly, i.e. production advisories, emails, etc.
Complete scheduled periodic training on time and as required.
Hydrogen Peroxide & Derivatives Business Incident Investigator (BII)
CUSTOMER TRAINING / SUPPORT (10%)
Assist Transportation Manager as needed in the following areas:
Technical advice on up-fitting and / or modifying rolling stock to meet fleet needs
Implementation of the Transportation Roadmap
Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assist Chemical Equipment Manager as needed in the following areas:
Technical advice on proper equipment used in the storage and transportation of hydrogen peroxide
Loading and unloading of product from transportation equipment to customer's storage tanks
Customer equipment setup
Customer assistance ranges from general advice to equipment schematic review
This position requires technical knowledge as well as knowledge of customer relationship management and the ability to work respectfully with customers to address their technical needs in a collaborative manner while engaging with the internal organization to translate those needs into further understanding of business impacts.
One of the key aspects of the role is the ability to maintain constant communications with the Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service groups to ensure consistent flow of information from the marketplace.
The Parts and Equipment Manager is based at the Memphis, TN plant. Travel is about 35% of time.
Interaction with customers on site audits and market intelligence to be documented in Salesforce CRM tool in a consistent, timely, and thorough manner.
Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum experience of 10 plus years' in the chemical industry.
Desired knowledge of material handling equipment such as pumps, valves, metering skids, etc.
Understanding of hazardous chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide, nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric, caustic.
This position requires the individual to be a self-starter and able to function independently with moderate direction
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills required
Proven problem solving skills, especially in working with others to achieve results
A reputation for follow-through and maintaining relationships in spite of conflict
Able to negotiate solutions for the overall satisfaction of key stakeholders

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.

SHIFT:
Full Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
