Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Purchasing Agent-Expeditor for a hybrid opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Resolve backorder and/or open lines for assigned suppliers.
Maintain a master tracking report of suppliers with backorder count and backorder dollars
• Build working relationships with suppliers to identify and solve backorder/open order root causes and resolve backorder/open order issues
• Must be able to manage high volume of incoming phone calls and emails.
• Obtain invoice copies and/or new shipment dates from suppliers and take appropriate action
• Add notes to the order(s) worked and maintain good records
• Provide tracking of number of lines resolved daily, and complete weekly activity report
• Attention to detail required and follow up on past orders reviewed a must.
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to manage a very high volume of emails (~100+ per day).
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Flexible with demonstrated ability to multi-task
Sense of priority and urgency
Good verbal and written communication skills
Extremely Organized Looks at the change in a positive manner.
Promotes good attitude and teamwork.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

EDUCATION: High school diploma.
College degree preferred but not required.

WORK HOURS: Full-time.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
