Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Technician for a contract opportunity in Stratford, CT.
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.
Job Description :
Technician capable of working from engineering drawings, electrical and electronic schematics with limited guidance to fabricate, install, diagnose, and repair equipment and test installations in support of System Integration Laboratory test facilities. Must be able to fabricate wire harnesses, test boxes and associated laboratory test equipment.
Basic Qualifications :
Strong electronic and electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Previous experience with electronic and electrical fabrication.
Previous experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
Mechanical and general fabrication skills.
Previous experience working with, fabricating, and terminating military wiring harnesses and connectors.
Accredited High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years of experience
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
