- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler B for a contract opportunity in Layton, UT.
oSubstantial and thorough understanding with assembly of electrical components to include terminating, crimping, splicing, applying solder sleeves, terminating wire, cable building, etc.
oExperience dealing with ESD sensitive products
oAssists in developing and documenting standardized assembly methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
oAssists in development of assembly procedures
oAssists in the improvement of assembly processes
oAssists to assure accuracy and completeness of assembled products.
oWorks well with others in assembling products in accordance with engineered drawing, parts lists, change notices and other applicable documents.
oAssists in troubleshooting basic issues related to the assembly of products
oAbility to understand and follow established practices and procedures
oWorks well under general supervision
oAbility to solder (e.g. build cables, etc.)
oAbility to communicate effectively with organizational personnel and customers to obtain or provide information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
oThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the LW site.
-Experience with technical drawings
oHighly preferred: Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
oIPC 610 & 620 certification or related experience
oJ-Std Module 1,2, & 3 certification or related experience
oExperience dealing with fiber optic cables
Must be computer literate and able to navigate computer
Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment
Accredited High School Diploma/GED and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
7 am - 3:30 pm

May require up to 10% travel domestically
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
