Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract opportunity in Jupiter, FL.
This position is 100% onsite.
o Work with product center / area production QMs and QEs to resolve RCA and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
o Ability to identify and lead collaborative QA efforts.
o POC for assigned product center, and to handle the daily tactical quality activities to ensure issues are identified and handled through to resolution.
o Monitor assigned performance utilizing metrics (SRR)
o Participate as required in escape investigation / corrective action requests (CARs)
o Provide technical liaison support.
o Monitor recovery action plans and proactively identify potential gaps
o Awareness of AS9100 requirements related to handling of root cause corrective action for identified defects, first articles and product line variations.
o Take ownership and responsibility for critical processes within the organization
o Develop and utilize daily analytics to proactively address and identify trends
o Work with supplier counterpart (SQE) on resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause corrective actions and ensure effectiveness.
o Report out to management and customer on root cause and corrective actions. Drive lessons learned and best practices across other product centers.
o Supporting the execution and achievement of all applicable Lockheed Martin, RMS and RMS Sikorsky business objectives.
o Support production readiness reviews, and conformity audits (AOI, AS9100)
o Support and/or manage special projects as required
o Ability to utilize Catia to complete review of Model Based Definition drawing and Reduced Dimension Drawings
Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry / line of business specifications
Prior Quality Engineer experience
Prior experience working in aerospace/rotorcraft environment
Prior use of root cause corrective action tools
o Experience with team building skills
o Utilization of Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing skills
o AS9100 Lead Auditor or equivalent
o Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and drive change.
o Strong communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership on tactical issues affecting the quality of products delivered.
o Understanding of rotorcraft manufacturing processes
o Ability to effectively deliver presentations to all levels of management
o Self-starter who works proactively taking on assignment ownership with excellent time management skills
o Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
Accredited Bachelor's degree
4/10 work schedule
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
