Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lab Technician for a contract opening in New York, NY.

Part time position:
It is 2-3 days Monday – Thursday each week. The days can be flexible to adjust to the employee’s schedule then the schedule maintained.
Example: Monday and Thursday. Or Tuesday Thursday. Or Monday Wednesday Thursday. As long as it is minimum 2 days a week and we have the same days the employee selects every week we are flexible understanding that they may be a student or other responsibilities while doing this part time work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and proctor evaluations with Perfumers and Fragrance Development Managers using novel and innovative methodologies.
• Organization, time management, and flexibility is essential for timely evaluations fitting the requests and schedules of evaluators.
• Personable communication skills required to work with multiple groups of people daily.
• Basic laboratory skills required for detailed setup of evaluations.
• Keep daily records of evaluations and other appropriate documentation on all work performed. Basic use of computer skills including Excel and Word is needed.
• Maintain and replenishing laboratory supplies of stock raw materials, solutions and equipment needed for evaluation.
• Maintain clean and well organized work place as work will be using shared spaces.
• Identify and report common problems/issues encountered and maintain awareness of technology and issues affecting evaluation.

• Preferred but not required: Bachelor degree in chemical, science, food science related field
• A minimum of 1 year of professional or lab experience

Part Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
