Chipton-Ross is seeking a Process Engineer for a direct opportunity in Huntsville, AL.
70% - Support overseeing the team and all aspects of an automation solution that includes developing requirements, creating conceptual solutions, preparing plans, monitoring suppliers, testing systems, and handing off the system to the end user. 20% - Support the Development and implementation of the vision for the automation team building standards to ensure commonality, easier transitions to production, and system support. 10% - Troubleshoot existing systems to resolve issues and recommend updates.
Knowledge of automation, robotics, or testing solutions required - Project management desired - Working with 3rd party automation integrators desired - Programming Control systems: PLC, HMI's is desired - Programming robotics is desired - Developing statements or work and requirements definition is desired - Parametric modeling is desired - Developing automation simulations is desired
: The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aero Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline and at least two (2) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Senior level requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree and at least nine (9) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Master's Degree Preferred
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
