Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Inspector for a contract opportunity in Savannah, GA.

This position is 100% onsite.

Performs first article inspection (FAI) of newly designed or revised products. Inspection of incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order. In-process inspection of parts being manufactured. Inspects sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircraft interiors and all final products prior to shipment. Interprets and reads engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.
Guarantee the application of the Quality rules in the respect of the satisfaction of the customers, the deadlines of production.
o Ensure compliance with the rules and instructions by the application of the Quality Management System
o Make sure that the product quality requirements are met
o Check the conformity of the incoming parts by carrying out various controls (administrative, dimensional, visual and aspect) from quality, technical instructions and / or using measuring instruments.
o Checking the conformity of the physical marking and production traceability documents
o Validating the production operations, control and closing the final control operations
o Ensure the consistency of the configuration produced with the purchasing order from the customer.
o Process anomaly notices and declare non-conformances in real time, validate the rework of equipment
o Write delivery documents and declarations of conformity
o Participate to the process of eradicating of the non-quality and to the continuous progress in its activity
Collaborative working relationship with Production, MRB, Logistics and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
o Working in partnership with production, MRB and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
o Work cross functionally with other SAFRAN sites in your field of expertise through various forums

3 years minimum experience in the Quality or production area
o General aeronautical knowledge and knowledge in this sector is a plus
o Communication skills
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
o You have an understanding of:
o Anomaly processing and characterization of nonconformities and application of the quality rules
o Reading plans, specifications and document architecture
o Technical documents (job instruction sheets, ranges, retouching instructions, etc.).
o The main tools of quality

Accredited High school diploma or GED

1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
