Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Rockwall, TX .

Essential Functions:
? Designing, developing, documenting, and testing innovative software solutions to new and varying
? Collaborating with a fast-moving team, interested in the best technical solution, and open to new ideas
that improve our customers’ products
? Assisting with test case planning and execution of verification and validation on software at a
component, subsystem, and system level
? Providing support to requirements analysis, design, defect resolution, requirements traceability, testing,
and system demonstrations
? Working with CI/CD automated pipeline tools
? Remaining cognizant of new and emerging technologies and tools that complement software
? Contributing to design, development, and testing with only general oversight
? Providing technical leadership for a project team
? Supporting enhancement and improvement of systems and procedures
? Contributing to the achievement of departmental goals
? Supporting management of project tasking and budget
? Working primarily on-site
• Manages, recruits, and develops a strong group of software engineers
• Defines, maintains, improves and manages the software development processes
• Identifies and manages design risk of software engineering projects
• Develops technology roadmap for new software designs
• Supports team in developing new software via oversight and review
• Provides labor and resource planning
• Supports bid and proposal activities including cost and schedule estimation

? Minimum of 6 years prior experience with object-oriented programming in C++, Java, and/or C#
? Strong understanding of multiple software languages
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Ability to work independently or on a small team to achieve project goals
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Knowledge and experience with software development and testing tools
? Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, specifically with software teams
• Experience developing plans with costs and schedules for new development projects
• Ability to make complex decisions with sparse data
• 10+ years of experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
? Modern C++ (17), and C#
? Java, Python, and bash
? GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git
? Atlassian tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence
? UI development: Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
? Component, System, and Integration testing experience
? Linux CLI and scripting
? Artifactory
• Proficient in National Instruments Products such as LabVIEW and TestStand
• Familiar with Earned Value Management

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience or Graduate degree and a
minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience
