Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Systems 3 for a contract opportunity in Roy, UT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Missile Interface Specification/Design & Architecture
To support this, the person will lead the development of key interface artifacts for the GBSD Missile (AVE). These artifacts include Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Description Documents (IDDs), and Interface Requirements Specifications (IRSs) and portions of their content into the MBSE model. The individual will need to coordinate with various IPTs to analyze, develop, document and maintain interface requirements and design solutions. This will include working with the IPT POCs to review mechanical, thermal/structural, fluid, software and logical interface designs by leading Interface Working Groups between the interface stakeholders. This role also includes coordination with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of the interface requirements. Finally, this person is responsible for working with their MBSE counterparts to ensure the interface requirements are integrated into their designated model-based artifacts (e.g. DOORs, Cameo).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and 5 Years of engineering experience with 2 years SE related experience; 3 Years with Masters with 2 years SE related experience; 2 years SE related experience with PhD.
o 1+ years working in requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
PREFERRED:
o Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (CAMEO)
o Missile design and development experience
o Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills and Systems Thinking mindset
o Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
o Strong work ethic and the ability to work self-sufficiently and as part of an integrated product team (IPT)
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.
HOURS:
9/80 workweek.
