Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Software 3 for a contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wing Data Simulator Software Engineer
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree
*Strong C++ development skills
*Experience with secure software development such as DO-178C compliant or similar
*Experience with Agile development
*Experience with Atlassian tool suite
*Experience with software development using a DevOps pipeline
Experience with Linux OS is required

PREFERRED:
*Experience with Hardware/Software interface design
*Experience with software and hardware certification/accreditation
*Experience with embedded systems
*Experience with real-time operating systems
Experience with code packaging and configuration management a plus.
Experience using design patterns early in projects to develop a strong foundation for the entire product lifecycle is suggested
Experience developing software in the early stages of a project is useful but not required

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.


HOURS:
9/80 workweek.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
