Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Software 2 for a contract opportunity in Roy, UT.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Software Test Engineer - Automation
Works as an automation developer. Candidate must be able to design and implement python or utilize applications such as JAZZ in developing automation to capture requirements, process data, and for test procedure development to meet Segment level requirements and contribute to the overall design and implementation of new test frameworks. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints with an overarching goal to remove the "human in the loop" to gain cost, schedule, and to remove human deficiencies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline with 2 years of related experience or (0 years of experience with a Master's Degree)
o Experience in Object Oriented Programming, examples are Java, C++, C#, and Python
o Experience in automation development
o Experience in Integration and Test
o Understanding of computer networking principles
o Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
o Ability to communicate effectively with customers, senior leadership, and other engineering disciplines

PREFERRED:
o Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM discipline
o Good understanding of the following applications, DocGen, JAZZ, SpiraTest, GitLab, WireShark, and LabView
o Experience collecting, processing and creating scripts to analyze large data streams of test information
o Experience with Scrum, Agile, and Model Based Systems Engineering

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.


HOURS:
9/80 workweek.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
