Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Software 2 for a contract opportunity in Roy, UT.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Agile Software Engineer
o As an Agile Software Engineer you will have responsibility for Software Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Test, Integration and Deployment.
o Utilizing Dev*Ops mindset and methods to automate processes and remove bottlenecks to the process.
o Designs, develops and tests displays, controls and functionality
o Designs, develops and tests software for use in weapon systems
o Collaborates with Systems, Test, and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met
o Performs software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices
o Performs code quality management and corrects defects
o Coordinates with HW/SW team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree.
o Previous practical experience bridging requirements into software design and implementation including architecture models through detailed design documentation and into code
o Strong experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo
o Strong experience with deployment automation tools such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
o Experience with working in a fast pace, agile environment with the ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
o Experience with Agile Software Development
o Experience with C/C++/Java development
o Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery
o Familiarity with distributed version control software (Git, Mercurial)

PREFERRED:
o Experience with Linux
o Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe for Lean Enterprises
o Strong experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI or Circle CI
o Strong experience with deployment automation tools such as chef, puppet or ansible
o Experience with working in a fast pace, agile environment with the ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
o Experience with secure software development practices and tools (i.e. Fortify, SonarQube)

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.


HOURS:
9/80 workweek.

MISCELLANEOUS:
