Chipton-Ross is seeking two Systems Engineer 3 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Newport News, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o This position is intended for the Software Configuration Management (SwCM) team within the Control and Information Systems (CIS) section of Department E70 (Propulsion Plant Planning Yard). The incumbent will be responsible for software testing, as well as technical writing and other efforts associated with software development lifecycle process implementation, especially software configuration management, throughout the PPPY. This position is expected to provide technical leadership through daily activities, to include preparation and/or peer review of approval letters, interdepartmental memos, process guidelines, testing documentation, etc. This position regularly communicates with the Navy, NNL, outside vendors, and management/engineers across the PPPY and other NNS departments via email, phone, and meetings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and technical writing experience.
o Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize and lead with limited oversight.
o Must have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Required PPE Ear Muffs, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience. Master's Degree and 3 years of experience. Ph.D. and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors in Science, Masters or PhD is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
Monday - Friday 7:30am- 4:00pm
HYBRID - Report on site 3-4 days per week

MISCELLANEOUS:
