- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for a contract opportunity in Skaneateles, NY.
This position is 100% onsite.
Performs some (up to all) of the following tasks: checking measurements, performing die adjustments, screening, performing visual inspections, cleaning equipment and area, making labels, bagging and tagging rolls, palletizing, using batch trace, wrapping/moving finished product, monitoring process, completing changeovers, updating batch boards, discarding scrap, creating/maintaining/verifying documentation, and cover other operators to allow for breaks.
Must have basic computer skills, basic math skills, the ability to read and understand job instructions, and basic knowledge of tools.
Must be able to write legibly and use a numbering system.
Must understand and obey all safety rules and be able to perform all job tasks in a safe and timely manner.
Must be willing to work overtime on weekends to cover absentees and vacations.
Industrial/Mechanical experience and knowledge of extrusion preferred. Physical / Safety Requirements
Requires walking, lifting a minimum of 35 lbs., lifting above head, bending, twisting, pushing, stretching, squatting, pulling, reaching, standing, climbing, and carrying. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
Will work around heat and fumes.
Duties may require overtime work, including weekends
Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required
Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
