Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Aircraft Mechanic 2's for a contract opportunity in Warner Robins, GA.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems. Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions.
Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various
aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA
regulations. Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms. Requires an airframe and
power license.
Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of all
aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and USAF technical data. Maintains USAF required records.

· Execute line-maintenance/flight operations support for E-8/B707-300C aircraft including all electrical &
mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation & repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU)
replacement, calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements & proper documentation in
aircraft forms (Air Force Form 781 series).
· Conduct flight line (“O” and “I” level) maintenance of aircraft using commercial and USAF ground maintenance procedures.
· Service aircraft, perform postflight, preflight, thru-flight, & phase inspections. Use technical data to diagnose & solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems.
· Inspect aircraft structures, systems, components & related systems.
· Operate powered & non-powered aerospace ground equipment.
· Review maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems & historical reports to ensure complete documentation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required.
Must have 6 years’ experience on B707 or military variants (E-8 Joint STARS, E-3, E-6, C-135) preferred or
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate with 6 years aircraft maintenance experience to be considered.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
40/wk (OT possible). Days or Swings. Multiple possibilities for shifts: 5/40, 4/10, 4/9/4

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
