Chipton-Ross is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a contract opportunity in Louisville, KY.
This position is 100% onsite.
Responsible for the purchasing & ordering of materials and the follow through with vendors on shipment, delivery, and/or service receipts.
Maintains proper inventory levels for materials & supplies.
Conducts cycle counts at direction of manager
Release purchase orders for assigned raw materials.
Enters PO confirmations in a timely manner.
Follow up on orders to ensure that materials ship and deliver as requested or agreed-upon.
Communicates errant SAP data.
Communicates and records supplier discrepancies and reports them appropriately.
Carries out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures, assisting on physical inventories and cycle counts.
Performs other related job duties as required.
A fast paced, high-pressure environment where you are involved in a wide variety of functions and activities.
Heavy use of computer software, both PC based and enterprise system, combined with frequent interpersonal communication.
SAP Experience required
Excellent interpersonal and oral / written skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute within a team environment.
Adaptable to change.
Able to manage competing priorities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
