Chipton-Ross is seeking mulitple Mechanical Technician 1's for a contract opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position performs a variety of duties assisting thermal insulation products engineers in the design, fabrication, packaging, inventory and integration of Space Vehicle MLI. The preferred candidate will be a self-starter able to work independently or in small teams to fabricate MLI products from 2D design templates and install MLI products onto space flight hardware at the unit, subsystem, and system levels per installation drawings and procedures. Individual must be able to follow standard MLI processes and maintain necessary certifications. This position may be required to perform other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work any shift and extended work weeks. Some travel may be required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years additional education and/or related experience.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Some overtime or weekend support may be required but is not planned.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
