Chipton-Ross is seeking a Fabricator III for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
This position is 100% onsite.
This position requires working from approved engineering drawings, mechanical blueprints, quality inspection procedures, military specifications, manufacturing process plans and other written instructions.
Daily tasks include operations such as, but not limited to: masking, chem film line operation, hoist operation, and rework.
Requires the cleaning and chemical conversion of parts or assemblies and performing other basic immersion processes.
Checks surface conditions prior to chemical conversion for cleanliness and masking. May involve responsibility for oven temperatures, time controls and coating consistency.
Must maintain logs, records, and complete required paperwork. Monitors and performs required adjustments to ensure acceptable hardware is produced.
Operates sandblaster or tumble blast equipment for removal of scale, flux, corrosion and dirt from material or parts.
Ability to work with carbon fiber material in the fabrication of composite structures and/or the ability to apply finish protective coatings, spray guns and/or brushes, optical bonding fabrication, bonding.
Able to operate sandblaster or tumble blast equipment.
Technical school training.
Prior experience as fabricator on composite material.
Experience as a composite assembler.
Strong math skills.
3/12 work schedule
Friday - Sunday / 5AM to 5PM / Training will be provided on day shift
