Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking nine Engineer Embedded Software 2 for a contract opportunity in Beavercreek, OH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected individual will be a part of a team developing a Secure Processor ASIC as well as a full SDK (libraries, drivers, tools). Embedded SW developers will be assigned to one of several agile teams depending on their skillset and the needs of the program. Needs include embedded linux development (kernel & userspace), experience developing in an RTOS environment, and device driver development. Cryptographic concepts and experience using crypto APIs is a plus. Work will include code development in C and model development in C++. The selected individual will actively participate in technical peer reviews to ensure system/software requirements are being met from an end-to-end system point of view. Work is completed in a collaborative environment and system specialists will be made available to assist with any activities associated with executing primary tasking. However, the selected individuals will be expected to prioritize and make recommendations to Technical Leads, as required, to implement tasking assigned.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level
Basic Qualifications for Principal Engineer:
o 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (2 years with a Masters' degree or 0 years with a Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical STEM field
o Experience with C, C++, Python or other high-order languages in real-time embedded applications
o Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications
Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Engineer:
o 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (6 years with a Masters' degree or 4 years with a Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical STEM field
o Experience with C, C++, Python or other high-order languages in real-time embedded applications
o Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications


PREFERRED:
o Micro-controllers and HW modeling
o Developing multi-threaded applications in RTOS environment
o Linux kernel and user space development
o Hardware (how low/high speed I/O works, QSPI, DMA) working with hardware from a test and debug perspective.
o UEFI cryptography or cryptography basics (familiarity using openSSL)
o Designing and implementing complex algorithms requiring strict timing, systems resource managed, and interface constraints
o Collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
o Modernized software development processes (e.g. Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps)
o Leading small software development teams and ensuring work is completed in accordance with design and development processes


EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 work week. Position is 100% on site
The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

MISCELLANEOUS:
