Chipton Ross is seeking Materials Supervisor for a temp to perm contracting opportunity in Battle Creek, MI.

Job Description
Plans, directs, monitors materials planning, inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving activities so that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for current and future operations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all material handler activities.
Coordinate activities for warehouse and plant
Training, coaching, developing the material handling team.
Implement and assist in development of cycle counting and pull system for each commodity.
Manage/coordinate the receiving and DMR processes.
Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular timely basis.
Manage the process of outbound shipments.
Coordinate all customs compliance requirements.
Observes Materials/Production operation within their area of control to ascertain
Compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5’s and Production/Materials Standards.
Assist in maintaining and revising visual inventory benchmarks standards.
Daily coordination of Production builds schedules.
Daily floor walks
Liaison between Materials and Production
Coordinate any outside warehouse activities.
Run RPS history reports and cumulative reports verifying receipts have been collected in RPS file.
Monitor system for accurately tracking Truckload Utilization. (TUMS)
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system.
Manage and maintain onsite replenishment of trailers
Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public.
Other job duties as assigned
Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment in a Supervisory role.
Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental Standards
Report occupational injuries, illnesses and accidents
Report hazardous, unsafe and unhealthy conditions

Required Skills
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment in a Supervisory role.

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Schedule:
2nd shift ( 1pm - 10:30pm)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
