203998 - Manufacturing Operator

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for a contract opportunity in Skaneateles, NY.

This position is 100% onsite.

You must demonstrate proficiency in using tweezers and a variety of related equipment in performing routine assemblies. You may work with torches and flames, solder, flux, adhesives and other basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use microscope or magnifying equipment to perform intricate sub-assemblies. In addition, you will be required to be familiar with the computer system for entering and retrieving data related to all functions within the department. As a part of your regular duties you may package component parts or assemblies for shipment, insuring that shipments are verified for accuracy.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitoring work and insuring requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity. You will diagnose faulty operations, process product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions, and work with Group Leaders, Supervisors, technical support and/or other team members to offer suggestions for improvements, help to resolve manufacturing issues, and monitor production for manufacturing results.

demonstrated proficiency on all operations within work center, work cell, flow-line as measured by established testing or certification process is required. You must have good mechanical dexterity/eyesight, be able to read, write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks and work with basic chemicals. You have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment, including: increased automation, change in production methods or sequences and rotation among work stations. You must be able to work well with others and be able to participate in team problem solving activities. You may be asked to attend training and development programs as requested/required and use that knowledge to train other assembler/assembly support personnel as needed. You may be requested to work overtime, as needed.

Accredited high school diploma or equivalency as well as 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area

1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
