Chipton-Ross is seeking a Program Specialist for a contract opportunity in Huntsville, AL.

This position is 100% onsite.

90% - The Subsea Program Manager is primarily responsible for managing the technical, schedule and financial performance of a contract to develop a Stored Chemical Energy Propulsion System (SCEPS) for new torpedoes. Although the subsea program manager will be primarily responsible for managing a single program, there may be times when several programs involving torpedo, unmanned undersea vehicles (UUV) and seabed propulsion and power programs must be managed simultaneously. Additionally, the Subsea Program Manager serves as the primary customer point of contact for contract execution and is responsible for ensuring all contract deliverables such as monthly financial reports are submitted to the customer on time.

10% - The position requires pursuit and capture of external funding for developing innovative subsea and seabed technologies in support of the overall Client growth strategy and goals. This requires developing business relationships with commercial and government customers and partners and acquiring cost sharing from industry partners for developing technologies and transition of the technologies to full scale development and production.

The position will report to the Director of the Power Innovations group.

Must possess the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast changing environment.
Must have strong analytical, decision-making, problem solving, and communication skills.
Must be proficient in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and Power-Point.
Experience in developing prototype hardware and transitioning the prototypes to low rate production is a plus.
Team building in a cross-functional working environment is crucial to success.
Must possess a strong background in business capture and program management and show demonstrated skill in working on fast-paced and technically challenging programs.
Must possess demonstrated ability to understand and manage technical, financial and schedule risk and to know when accepting these risks is prudent.
The position requires the ability to develop effective ways of monetizing innovative ideas.

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Accredited Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience leading and managing programs of varying size or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

9/80 work schedule
