Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking six Manufacturing Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

REQUIREMENTS:
o HS diploma or equivalent
o Familiarity with precision hand tools (torque drivers, calipers, force gauges, etc.)
o Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and work instructions (written in English)
o Basic computer knowledge and ability to effectively navigate on computer (MS Office, folders, etc.)
o Attention to details and mechanical aptitude
o Manufacturing assembly experience
* 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing industries*

PREFERRED:
1-2 years of aerospace manufacturing experience

EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED required.
School must be accredited.


HOURS:
9/80 workweek. 100


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
