Chipton-Ross is seeking Sr. Project Manager for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and monitor the scheduling, budget, and technical performance of company and client projects from initiation through delivery. May facilitate the gathering of requirements from the customer, development of project objectives and scope and serve as liaisons between the customer and delivery team. Responsibilities may include supporting the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. May help develop new business and expand product lines in cooperation with the Sales function. Ensures adherence to master plans & schedules, develop solutions to program problems, and direct work of incumbents assigned to the program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget and act as an advisor to the program team. Expertise with standard concepts, industry practices, and procedures within a particular field are required. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish company goals.
Duties: Manage projects of moderate to high complexity. Proactively engage stakeholders to identify needs and gain buy-in. Present plans to management teams for approval. Lead project related meetings for kick off, discovery, status update, close out and post mortems, etc. Collect status from team members and suppliers and present the aggregated information to management in the form of metrics, risks, and actions. Identify risk areas and build mitigation plans. Lead project cost estimation and management. Lead change control processes and proactively manage impact. Coordinate and facilitate cross functional activities ensuring that the project is on time and on- budget. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of all project timelines, scope and budget. Develop and present project documentation such as agendas, project milestone documents, project charters, schedules, communication and project plans and both summary and detailed status reports. Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Proactively engage clients on technical matters and/or project subject matter, maintaining a healthy client relationship. Contribute to project success through industry, technology, or process expertise. Contribute to internal process and methodology development. Contribute to activity and documents supporting client business development and on-going relationships. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time: Define and implement the development plan according to standard development process and in line with performance, quality, delivery and cost commitments as defined by the program manager or division/Business Unit leader Familiar with the particulars of integrating a product within a system. Able to put these products/services into perspective with regard to the explicit or implicit needs of the customer. Define and organize a project using project management process methodology and tools. Is able to formalize the PBS/WBS/OBS, drafting and managing via a project management plan (PMP) Define and implement a global management strategy for scheduling margins. Able to integrate supplier constraints. Leads project development reviews (MER1 through MER8) and support program milestone reviews as applicable. Implement Earn Value Management (planning, budgeting, critical path, margins, S-Curves), and control remaining workload in view of progress/variances. As well as, implement the management elements for recurring costs (RC Familiar with the specific features of each process contributing to project performance. Handle risk provision and manage risk reduction and opportunity optimization plans following risk process and utilizing risk tool, RiTo Lead a local project team directly, and is responsible for coordination and ensuring performance-related objectives are met. Assist in the estimate fiscal year budgeting & business case process. Understands the principles of subcontract management. Able to use change management tools and make them a factor for success. Ensure previous lessons learned are incorporated into project planning and control. Analyze proposed and document project/work package changes. Develop change packages, as needed for program change control board review/approval. Report and escalate to management as needed. Other duties maybe assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years leading moderate to high complexity projects in either a project management or a senior technical role.
Experience within the aviation and/or aerospace industry.
Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement. Attention to detail and passion for project management and the delivery discipline.
Extensive team leadership experience, contributing to the professional and personal development of team members.
Expertise in developing and documenting project plans.
Expertise in requirements analysis & decomposition.
Experience with all phases of the SDLC understanding current industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
Expertise with multiple project management methodologies, e.g. waterfall, agile.
Ability to be organized and detail oriented.
Ability to learn and use new technologies quickly.
Ability to efficiently resolve problems.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Other Skills:
Proficient with MS Project, competent with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Previous experience in planning or managing projects, as well as, the ability to develop, lead, motivate working teams. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Familiar with problem solving tools

Additional Preferred Skills: (not required):
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience; PM certifications preferred.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
