Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technician for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates and maintains high-pressure, manually-controlled and/or fully-automatic high pressure steam boilers; services steam boilers by performing such operations as regulating temperatures, draft fans and natural gas/fuel feeds, controlling and maintaining proper fire, checking controls and servicing all automatic equipment, pumps, injectors, emission control devices and monitors, and accessories; maintains correct fuel and water treatment and water levels; records and interprets pressure, combustion and other gauges; makes functional check of boilers during firing and after completion of major repair operations. Operates chillers, air compressors, and other devices as part of the operation of the central utility plant.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have prior boiler operational experience.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED

SHIFT:
Full-Time
Ability to work 5/40 Swing or Night shift or 4/10 alternate schedule.
5/40 work schedule 2nd {3:00 PM to 11:30 PM} or 3rd shift {11:00 PM - 7:00 AM},
Alternate work schedule Saturday - 12hrs, Sunday -12hrs, Monday - 8hrs, Tuesday - 8hrs {AM or PM}

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
