Chipton-Ross is seeking two Engineering Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA.
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
o High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year's additional education and/or related experience.
o 2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field
o Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings (written in English)
o Experience work with a Microsoft Office products and process documentation
o Experienced working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area
o Attention to details and mechanical aptitude
o Familiarity with test equipment, such as electrical testing equipment (hi-pot, source meter, DMM, etc.), load testing, thermal testing, vacuum testing, data collection/processing
1-2 years of aerospace experience.
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.
9/80 work week. 100% On-Site.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
