- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Manager - Level 4 for a contract opportunity in Burbank, CA.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and executing project plans for the integration project that will consolidate legacy Discovery and legacy WM Consumer Products business processes into a modernized and consolidated system landscape. They will be responsible for managing the project scope, project, plan, resource plan, budget. They will routinely track the project and communicate status to all levels of project stakeholders. They will work closely with the Global Monetization Technology (GMT) management team and business stakeholders to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of project. Additionally, this resource will help with tracking some program management deliverables for our recently approved Technology Upgrade Program. Assisting the Program Manager and GMT management team with tracking status, budget and tasks to ensure that we are able to consistently deliver on-time and within budget.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME
• Business Partnership: Work with the Global Monetization Technology (GMT) management team and business stakeholders to provide value to the business as they integrate two legacy Consumer Product business units into consolidated and standardized systems landscape as well as assist with Program Management activities related to the Technology Upgrade Program for Consumer Products 25%
• Project Planning & Execution: Work closely with the GMT management team and business stakeholders to define the project plan for integrating processes into the consolidated landscape which includes migrating intellectual property data, contracts, financials, and product details into the appropriate systems. Hands-on delivery of project plans, status reports, budget tracking and routine executive updates. Use Case and Requirements documentation will likely be needed for this role. 50%
• Change Management Planning & Execution: Work closely with the GMT management team and business stakeholders to ensure that the technology team is contributing to change management deliverables including Change Mgmt Strategy, Stakeholder Analysis by workstreams, Sponsor Roadmap, Resistance Management Plan and Training Plans. 25%
5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting complex system implementations
3+ years of experience team(s) responsible for strategic planning, business relationship management
3+ years of experience contributing to change management activities and deliverables
Experience with design and execution of business and technology best practices
Experience leading cross matrixed teams
High degree of commitment, independence and self-motivation; enthusiasm for challenging work
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Highly Desirable Experience in management of major projects including:
Multiple simultaneous workstreams
Liaising with multiple development teams
Iterative agile projects with ongoing releases
Change Management / Training experience
Consumer Products experience
Experience in Media & Entertainment Industry
Ability to work closely with functional team to understand business needs and technical teams to deliver system architecture and code that meets business requirements
Ability to pitch in and complete project deliverables if required (Use Cases, Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Test Plans)
Ability to contribute to change management deliverables based on prior experience (Change Mgmt Strategy, Stakeholder Analysis by workstreams, Sponsor Roadmap, Resistance Management Plan and Training Plans)
Ensures weekly status reports and meeting minutes get distributed to all stakeholders
Ability to guide business assessments with key stakeholders to deliver best in class requirements, strategy and roadmap documentation that meet business needs and support targeted growth
Ability to guide team(s) to ensure application configurations are of highest standard & meet business needs
Ability to help mitigate any potential roadblocks for the teams as well as anticipate potential project related problems
Maintaining a productive working environment for all team members

oConfluence, Jira, Monday.com (or similar PPM tools)

PMP Certification Preferred
Undergraduate Degree Required
Must be able to work standard hours (9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) with some flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
