Chipton-Ross is seeking one Engineer Mechanical 3 for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate will author detailed engineering direction as well as collaborate readily with support engineering roles in order to ensure the integrity of the final product. In addition to this, the selected candidate will provide technical mentorship and training to the existing team of early and mid-career engineers.
Key Responsibilities
o Establish and maintain Material Review Board authority in order to autonomously address the rigors of the role.
o Assess, disposition, and buy off non-conformance tags as they arise in the production environment.
o Coordinate dispositioned repairs, as appropriate, with support roles in the organization.
o Mentor early and mid-career engineers and help grow the team's technical competencies.
o Create and/or revise engineering training specific to the team's daily tasks.

o Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of directly related engineering experience (Masters degree may count towards an additional 2 years of experience)
o Experience with the Material Review Board (MRB) process with prior MRB authority
o Experience dispositioning non-conformances via the MRB process
o Experience with CATIA V5, NX, Visualization Pro, TeamCenter, MES, or other CAD programs
o Experience working in an aircraft manufacturing facility

o Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
o Experience interfacing with a military customer
o Experience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment
o Experience with aircraft structural or subsystem design
o Previous experience in the Liaison Engineering discipline

Bachelor of Science Degree is required.
School must be accredited.

3/10 workweek. (Friday - Sunday) on evening shift
