- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for a contract opportunity in Skaneateles, NY.
This position is 100% onsite.
involves performing a full range of work center, cell or flow-line operations to assemble or support routine assembly operations following prescribed processes and insuring adherence to quality standards.
You will perform routine operations to assemble, inspect, pack/ship or otherwise handle component parts or sub-assemblies using basic tools and assembly techniques as well as working to pre-assigned level of output while insuring that high quality is maintained. You will have the opportunity to rotate among stations within the work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center needs. Your ability to work from production sketches and/or process sheets will help you to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements.
You must have good mechanical dexterity/eyesight, be able to read, write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks and work with basic chemicals. You have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment, including: increased automation, change in production methods or sequences and rotation among work stations. You must be able to work well with others and be able to participate in team problem solving activities. You may be asked to attend training and development programs as requested/required and use that knowledge to train other assembler/assembly support personnel as needed. You may be requested to work overtime, as needed.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
