Chipton Ross is seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract position in Stuart, FL.
Develops, implements, and evaluates quality process control systems, procedures, and statistical methods to evaluate process and product quality in an aerospace structures environment. Designs and identifies inspection and test equipment to support customer or regulatory agency requirements. Performs continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
" Adherence to contract compliance through root cause analysis & determination and corrective and preventative action.
" Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
" Interfaces with customers.
" Create and maintain process control plans to ensure process outputs confirm to requirements.
" Develop root cause analysis on non-conforming processes and products and establish corrective actions as necessary.
" Support training and employee evaluation process in regard to the QMS is appropriate and effective for preventing nonconforming product and customer complaints.
" Conduct detection and prevention methodologies such as process error proofing and layered auditing.
Required Qualifications
" Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM Field.
" 7+ Years of relevant experience (5 years with related Masters Degree).
" Ability to work with cross functional departments.
" Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions.
" Proficient in RCCA.
" Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks/priorities
" Experience reviewing, analyzing and reporting on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical systems.
" Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
" Visual Basic Programming.
Preferred Qualifications
" Certifications in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
" Statistical analysis and/or quantitative analysis on project trends.
" Visual Basic Programming.
" Experience with CAD Software applications.
" Prior aircraft manufacturing experience.
" FAA, QMS - Audit (AS9100), PPAP experience preferred.
" Customer interface experience preferred.
" Experience with MES/MEDS/SAP preferred.
Work Schedule
Must be able work wither Monday - Thursday 1pm to 11pm or Friday - Sunday 8am to 9pm
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
