Chipton-Ross is seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
This position is 100% onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Configure and troubleshoot network traffic such as TCP/IP, UDP/IP, UDP Multicast, DNS, DHCP, and others
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that network infrastructure is aligned with overall organizational objectives
Make recommendations for infrastructure improvements
Create and maintain detailed documentation of network infrastructure and configuration
REQUIREMENTS:
Actively hold one or more of the following product certifications: Cisco - CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP or CCNP-Security
o Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP/IP, UDP Multicast, peer-to-peer networking, routing, and switching
o Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
o Experience with firewall concepts and technologies
o Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
o Experience with documentation and technical writing to maintain system configurations and network diagrams.
o Experience implementing the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) to cyber-harden information systems commensurate with customer needs
o Experience with engineering change processes and/or configuration control processes.
o Experience conducting technical trade studies and assessments.
o Experience working in an aerospace design environment with exposure to DoD customers.
o Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
o Experience with Cloud computing technologies and experience with Network Automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, etc) is a plus.
Experience with networking (such as TCP/IP, UDP/IP, UDP Multicast, DNS, DHCP and/or others)
o Experience with Linux or RTOS and associated development toolchains
o Experience in C or C++ and Python required
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent experience

4/10 work schedule
