Chipton Ross is seeking a Production Planning/Scheduling for a temp to hire position in Milledgeville, GA

Production Planning/Scheduling and Control 2 Position Overview
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedule equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

Principal Accountabilities:
Unload and loading inventory from production areas, storage spaces, delivery trucks, loading docks, and other places, maintaining shop load racks in a timely manner.
Provide shop with daily job priorities by work center per electronic dispatch. Using (TIP) for primary shop load priorities.
Manage and provide ECD's to upper management for job completion dates based off shop load priorities.
Process shortages timely on shop floor orders requiring materials be issued to order to allow completion in Cost Point. Manage material inventory based on Manufacturing need dates. Using (Cost Point) to manage electronic inventory levels. Physical and electronic inventory must always match.
Verify that all inbound deliveries are following the company's purchase order and procedures.
Storing and sorting materials in designated locations.
track inventory by recording, categorizing, and identifying its location.
Expedite Non-Conformance (TIPQA) tags thru Shop Processes, MRB, Liaison Engineering, Planning, Quality Engineering, Repair, etc. by priority order. Maintain MRB areas by program.
Operate various machineries, such as forklifts, cranes, cameras, and booms to handle materials and inventory.
Provide purchasing recommendations and keep track of supply levels regularly.
Tasks may also include contacting vendors to acquire missing information of a product.

Experience and Education Requisites:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 0-3 years of related experience
Knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and office products
Able to work within a fast paced, changing, high energy environment
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently with limited supervision
Physical ability to lift, climb, grasp, hold, stand, bend and stoop

Work Schedule
1st Shift, 5/40 Schedule


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
