- Chipton Ross is seeking a NDT Technician for a contract position in Milledgeville, GA.
Under direction, use flaw detectors, automated ultrasonic equipment, immersion ultrasonic equipment, composite laminates and honeycomb bonded assemblies to ensure structural integrity. Record test results to ensure materials conformance to requirements of engineering drawings, company procedures and customer specifications.
Work from operation and work sheets, and oral instructions.
Adhere to all applicable safety, operational procedures and directives.
Maintain good housekeeping in area.
Bring to the attention of lead engineer all malfunctions, defects, and damages of equipment, material, and product.
Perform set-up of ultrasonic equipment, run required tests, and submit work to NDT engineer.
Job Knowledge & Educational Requirements
Job knowledge requires vocational or similar training, including basic shop math to aid in the interpretation and the utilization of data from engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications and procedures.
Knowledge of aerospace shop routines and practices required.
Basic knowledge of MS Office, and file management is required.
Some background in physics and algebra is helpful.
High school diploma or an accredited GED.
Level Two NAS 410 certification with 3 to 5 years performing as a Level 2 Inspector.
While performing the duties of this job the employee will be very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
1st Shift, 5/40 Schedule
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
