Description



Chipton-Ross is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Huntsville, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with software and system engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of contracted software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Administer strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems.
Support security process, analysis, coordination, assessment, documentation, software research.
Provide security impacts and risk assessments of new system components and emerging technologies.
Assist in the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), through the required government policy (i.e., NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, CNSSI, etc.), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.
Implement, document, test and verify established security requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of relevant engineering experience or a Master's Degree and 3 years of engineering experience.
o Experience in Aerospace and/or System Engineering.
o Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
o Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the systems engineering V-Model.
o Experience in software development to include any of the following: kernel mode, embedded, command and control, web applications, network

PREFERRED:
o Experience with C2 systems
o Experience developing OPSCONS or CONOPS
o Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.
o Experience with weapon systems
o Experience with Agile Development

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required.
School must be accredited.


HOURS:
9/80 workweek.
