Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Guidance Nav & Control Engineer's 5 for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops requirement management processes and tools. Investigates actions necessary for requirements definition and flow-down improvement. Performs and documents design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems models and tools and guides less experienced engineers in performance of the designs. Develops certification criteria and methods with regulatory agencies. Leads, organizes and resolves cross-divisional problems to provide technical assistance to internal/external customers. Assures cost, time effective, creative solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. Performs a wide variety of complex trades studies to meet program requirements. Works under consultative direction.

REQUIRED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in complex safety critical system design using object based three-dimensional CAD tools, such as, CATIA; dynamic system simulation tools, such as, Easy5; and traditional engineering analytical methods.
Experience in requirements development, design, analysis, and verification & validation of flight control systems.
Hiring team looking for candidates with multiple years of experience doing this type of work.
Experience using requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS.
Experience with System Safety Analysis including failure modes and effects analysis; fault tree analysis; common cause analysis, and single & multiple failure analysis.
Experience with control system and component troubleshooting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A plus:
Experience with manufacturing regulated and certified, safety critical components and software.
Demonstrated ability to learn fast and effectively apply prior experience and knowledge to new and different challenges.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex projects to successful implementation on-time and within cost constraints.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for cross-functional team success.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for mentoring and training early career engineers and technicians.

Prior Client Experience not required but a plus.

ONSITE IN PUGET SOUND
FOR THEM TO BE LOCAL TO A CLIENT LOCATION.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
8 am - 4:30 pm
Managers are flexible with start time

MISCELLANEOUS:
Hybrid, need to be able to come onsite in Everett.
Duration: 12 MONTHS WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION.
MUST BE LOCAL TO PUGET SOUND AREA AND, BE ABLE TO COME ONSITE.
Remote, onsite or a combination of both? 3 days in the office with others optional.
Are you okay with out-of-state candidates? YES - They would need to relocate on their own.
Work Schedule: full time or part time allowed.
