Chipton-Ross is seeking four Manufacturing Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Oxnard, CA.
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
o HS diploma or equivalent
Must have Mechanical Assembly experience
Able to :
· read instructions and drawings
· assemble mechanical mechanisms
· use of common hand tools, knowledge of what is the correct tool
· basic computer skills
Cleaning parts, abrading, bonding, assembling tools and support equipment, assembly and test of mechanisms, completing assembly electronic work instruction sign off.
High school diploma/GED required.
School must be accredited.
9/80 workweek. 2 of these positions will report to Goleta, CA for 2-3 months before transferring to Oxnard, CA.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
