Chipton-Ross is seeking a Buyer for a contract opportunity in Alachua, FL.

SUMMARY:
This Colleague is primarily responsible for carrying out material management to support daily operations in the Science and Technology (STT) laboratory located in Alachua, FL. Functions include, but are not limited to, creating purchase requisitions and material reservations for production campaigns, creating bill of material spreadsheets (BOMs), maintaining accurate inventory, and assisting Lab Coordinator as necessary. These support functions allow the STT lab to complete operations efficiently, enabling the speedy development of new manufacturing platforms and thereby reducing the time to deliver life-changing therapies to patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily tasks are leading material flow, end-to-end, for internal project campaigns and maintaining inventory of materials and delivery dates (present and future) of materials for use in STT laboratories. Schedule material ordering and transfers to maintain project timelines, with the use of ERP and non-ERP transactions. Generation of Purchase Requisitions, and Material Requisitions. Ensuring accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM) and ERP and non-ERP inventory balances making vital adjustments for repeat project campaigns. Ensuring first in first out material batch release from ERP system. Monitor and ensure accuracy of excess and obsolete inventory, escalating as necessary. Monitoring material supply providing material availability as input for production planning while identifying concerns related to inventory and supply chain shortages or delays. Work cross-functionally to identify and help resolve concerns relating to inventory, and supply. Developing process improvements for inventory, and production control systems. Participate in inventory maintenance activities such as reorganization and physical counts. Includes materials stored at ambient, refrigerated (2-8°C) and ultra-low temperatures (-80°C and liquid nitrogen vapor (-130°C)). Support generation of master material numbers for new materials to be stored in the warehouse. Complete all work in compliance with GDP/GMP regulations and established VVS procedures including contemporaneous documentation of all activities in legible English (as necessary) Coordinate with Lab Coordinator to prioritize activities based on production schedules and urgent needs. Work independently and with team members to complete all tasks every single day. Data entry using Smartsheet, or additional programs is required as well as email communication using Outlook. Other supporting duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year of materials planning experience highly preferred. SAP/ARIBA planning and purchasing experience highly preferred. SmartSheet experience highly preferred. Previous experience in a science-related environment, preferably CDMO is an asset but not required. Maintain a list of SDS for new laboratory products, help complete assessments as needed. Archival of CoA record management and supporting material documentation. Support generation of shipping forms to ship materials or products to outside sources. Generating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other written documentation as needed. Excellent project management skills. Computer proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook). Proficient in the English language. Strong social skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Responsible, reliable, and good team player. Demonstrated commitment to our fundamental principles of Integrity, Respect & Excellence. Ability to communicate/work in a dynamic/ fast paced environment. Ability to multi-task and plan. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Potential contact with human blood or other potentially infectious material (OPIM)

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Accredited Bachelor's degree preferred

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
