Chipton-Ross is seeking a Configuration Manager for a contract opportunity in Fall River, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will be responsible for the Configuration Management activities for the IVER family of UUVs and associated support equipment. This position will maintain Configuration Management (CM) surveillance on assigned programs in accordance with contractual requirements and Division policies. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the application of CM principles including configuration planning, identification, change control, status accounting and auditing with regards to program tasks. This role will interface with personnel from Program Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Support Systems Engineering, Operations and the customer with respect to CM issues. Implement Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) process and tools. Implement and apply Configuration Management principles, processes and procedures. Identify and coordinate processes changes for configuration management. Participate in Change Control Board (CCB) reviews. Support and facilitate version and process auditing and reporting. Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.


REQUIREMENTS:
o Familiar with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) process and tools
o Familiarity with Configuration Management principles, processes and procedures.
o Identify and coordinate processes changes for configuration management.
o Support and facilitate version and process auditing and reporting
o Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.
o Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
o Strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills.
o Ability to interpret engineering drawings and data.
o Experience communicating within and outside of own department as well as parties external to the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Strong oral and written communication skills; including presentations to staff, potential customers and other professionals; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, logically and coherently.
o Self-starter and multi-tasker.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o DoD/Navy contracting experience
o Experience with Product Lifecle Management (PLM) tools and/Or SolidWorks
o Familiar with Military Standards:
o EIA-649 - Configuration Management Standard
o MIL-HDBK-61 - Configuration Management Guide
o MIL-STD-973 - Configuration Management Standard
o MIL-STD-31000A - Technical Data Packages

EDUCATION:
Accredited Associates degree in a technical or business-related discipline or equivalent.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
