Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Client is seeking an Associate Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Engineer to provide support several programs. Activities include development of validation of operational procedures and mission systems engineering work for satellite operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
o Developing and maintaining code
o Designing Procedures to operate the vehicle in orbit
o Validating Software Procedures against Vehicle Simulator
o Initializing Vehicle In-Orbit
o Providing Customer support On-Orbit

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o Accredited Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering
o Space engineering experience within the industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
o Experience with Software Coding languages (XML, Tcl/TK)
o Understanding of System Engineering, focusing on Attitude Control Systems
o Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
o Exposure to software qualification/certification in accordance with any of the following (Verification/ Validation / Readiness

EDUCATION:

8 am - 5 pm
