Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a contract opportunity in Simi Valley, CA.
This position is 100% onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Performs a wide variety of assembly operations on mechanical parts, assemblies, and subassemblies.
o Interprets and follows diagrams, T.O. specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
o With experience using a wide variety of hand and pneumatic tools.
o Checks for work correctness and for conformance to specifications.
o Mechanical assembly of large antenna systems and sub-assemblies, gearboxes, large diameter bearings, etc.
o Interfaces with engineering, quality assurance, and test personnel to ensure subassemblies are inspected and tested at specified checkpoints.
o Work to be performed requires heavy lifts involving the use of cranes, forklifts and man lifts.
o May also be assigned to small assembly detailed work.
o May be required to travel for field work to install and assemble systems under supervision.
o Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
o Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
