Chipton-Ross is seeking a Procurement Support/Expeditor for a contract opportunity in Menlo Park, CA.
Provides administrative and clerical support for supply chain and procurement department activities. Maintains files, logs, purchase orders and other related documentation. Maintains information on computer systems. Assists in expediting orders. May assist buyers in contacting vendors for pricing or other information, and schedule delivery dates.
Call suppliers to obtain information necessary for business compliance requirements.
Log information into MRP/ERP system (data entry.)
Follow up on Purchase Orders and and past Purchase Orders to expedite fulfillment.
Audit current files to ensure all required information is included.
Basic filing and putting files together.
Review of files to ensure all have the proper documentation.
Perform additional administrative/clerical tasks as assigned by management.
Experience working as an administrative assistant or expeditor in a Procurement Department.
Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.
Data entry in Excel and MRP/ERP skills.
MS Office skills.
Excellent communication skills to outreach to suppliers in a professional manner.
InforLN experience preferred
Experience working in a DFAR/ITAR environment for a government defense contractor (preferred.)
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
9/80 - 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
